Looking North from Bighorn Plateau towards Forester Pass

A wide run of rock and thin ground on Bighorn Plateau, leading north to the granite in the distance with cumulus building.

July in the High Sierra, and the cumulus clouds were building early. I was above 10,000 feet, and the air was thin and dry; the granite peaks in the distance still had a few patches of snow.
