Big Pothole Lake

Big Pothole lake is a lake just before the Kearsarge pass. This photograph shows big pothole lake on a overcast day.

July in the High Sierra, and the sky was threatening rain as I hiked up to Kearsarge Pass. This small lake sits in a granite bowl just below the pass, reflecting the gray sky.
