Ferns along the way to Taft Point

The trail winds through tall trees and ferns going from green to gold, shafts of sun coming through.

October in the Sierra Nevada mountains, and the ferns along the trail had turned a deep gold. The light was dappled and diffuse, coming in at a low angle through the trees.
