Mount Whitney's granite peaks rise behind the snow-dusted Alabama Hills boulders.

March in the Alabama Hills, and Mount Whitney's peaks were still holding a lot of snow. The air was clear enough to see the texture of the granite faces, even with the clouds swirling around the summit.
