Fern springs and snow

Fern Springs surrounded by snow in Yosemite National Park. As we enter Yosemite National Park through Southside drive, we cross Pohono bridge and fern springs. Fern springs is considered sacred by the Indians and the water is considered to have medicinal value. In winter, the springs are surrounded by snow.

The first snow of the season coated the rocks and trees around this creek, but the autumn leaves were still clinging to the branches and floating in the water.
