Half Dome catching the last gold while the granite valleys below have already gone into shadow.

August in Yosemite, and the late afternoon sun was hitting Half Dome just right. The granite was glowing gold, and the distant peaks were catching the last light of the day. I waited for a break in the clouds to get this shot.
