La Perla Joya, or “The Pearl Jewel,” stuns passersby with its vivid turquoise facade and intricately carved double doors. Wrought-iron balconies adorned with delicate floral motifs peek playfully from above, hinting at the charm that resides within. This vibrant structure embodies the rich cultural heritage and infectious energy of Puerto Rico's historic capital.

December in Old San Juan, and the buildings were decorated for the holidays. The turquoise facade of this building caught my eye with its simple lines and the contrast of the brown shutters.
