Oak tree in Ahwahnee Meadow, Yosemite national park and sun star

Sunlight bursts through the yellow and orange leaves of an oak tree, illuminating a path and a small cabin with patches of snow on the ground in Ahwahnee Meadow.

October in Yosemite Valley, and the black oaks are at their peak, their leaves a brilliant gold against the clear blue sky. The sun was low enough to create a starburst effect as it shone through the branches.
