Valley View Light Magic Sunset
During winter, the clouds in Yosemite national park create shadows over the mountains. In this photograph, El Capitan and Cathedral rocks are seen amdist dramatic shadows. Valley view is a popular vista point in Yosemite National Park, along Northside drive. From this vantage point, you can see El Capitan, Bridalvel falls and a portion of Half dome, along with the South Rim. During sunset, El Capitan and Bridalveil falls are lit based on the direction of the sun. In one spring evening, when clouds gathered, the light kept changing dramatically causing a dramatic sunset that changed rapidly.
We were in Yosemite Valley in late December, hoping for snow, and got just enough to dust the valley floor. The light on El Capitan and the granite cliffs around Bridalveil Fall was incredible that afternoon.
