St John's Church - Val di Funes

St. John''s Church, small and white and pink, sitting in meadow at the foot of the pine forest with the Dolomites in cloud behind.

The Val di Funes valley was intensely green when I visited in August, and the clouds were low around the Dolomites. This little chapel sits in the middle of a field of wheat and wildflowers, backed by a dense evergreen forest.
