St John's Church - Val di Funes

A picturesque church nestled in a lush green valley, with towering mountains in the background. The scene evokes a sense of peace and tranquility.

The Val di Funes valley was intensely green when I visited in August, and the clouds were low around the Dolomites. This little chapel sits in the middle of a field of wheat and wildflowers, backed by a dense evergreen forest.
