Dolomites Chapel in Val di Funes

A small church sits in a green field in Val di Funes, with the ridgeline of the Dolomites mountains partially obscured by clouds in the background.

The Val di Funes valley was intensely green when I visited in August, and the clouds were low around the Dolomites. This little chapel sits in the middle of a field of wheat and wildflowers, backed by a dense evergreen forest.
