Half Dome's granite face is reflected in the calm waters of the Merced River, surrounded by autumn foliage.

October in Yosemite Valley, and the dogwoods and cottonwoods were turning gold along the Merced River. The water was still enough to mirror Half Dome, though the light was flat.
