Thousand Island Lake Outlet Sunset

Thousand Island Lake is one of the most popular camping sites along the John Muir Trail. When coming in from June Lake or the High Trail, you cross various outlets to Thousand Island lake. As the sun sets, it lights up the trees around the lake. I have stayed here two nights in different trips. Takes my breath away.

July in the Ansel Adams Wilderness, and I was up before sunrise to catch the light on Mount Ritter. The lake surface was like glass, and the reflection was perfect, even with a few wisps of clouds drifting by.
