Garnet Lake

Garnet lake in the Ansel Adams Wilderness is one of the beautiful spots along the JMT. From this lake, Banner Peak and Mt. Ritter are seen.

Hiking the High Sierra in early July, I reached Thousand Island Lake before noon. The water was still and clear, reflecting the granite peaks of Mount Ritter and the Ritter Range.
