Kearsarge lake sunset

Sunrise illuminates the granite face of Kearsarge Peak and surrounding peaks, reflecting golden light on the calm surface of a high Sierra lake, bordered by pine trees and green grasses.

This was taken at Palisade Lakes in the High Sierra, looking east towards Mount Sill as the first rays of morning sun hit the peak. The air was perfectly still, allowing for a clear reflection of the golden light on the lake's surface, with the jagged peaks of the Palisades range visible in the background.
