Golden Hour Granite - Whitney Range

The setting sun casts a warm glow on the rugged peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountains, illuminating the granite cliffs and highlighting the contrast with the dark pine forest below.

I spent the night at Crabtree Meadow after hiking up from Whitney Portal, hoping for a clear view of Mount Whitney at sunset. The air was still and the light warm as it hit the peaks.
