Kearsarge Pinnacles at Sunrise

First light gold on the Kearsarge Pinnacles and the granite around them, the whole of it repeated in a calm lake with green grass at the edge.

July in the Sierra high country, and the mosquitoes were out in force as I waited for the first light to hit these peaks. The lake surface was still enough for a perfect reflection, doubling the drama of the granite faces.
