Milky Way over Sierra Lake

The Milky Way stretches across a dark blue sky above a lake reflecting the lights of a campfire in the Sierra Nevada.

September in the High Sierra, and the Milky Way was directly overhead. I set up my camera to capture the stars over the lake, with the lights of a distant campfire reflecting in the water.
