Rae Lakes Sunset

Golden light illuminates the upper slopes of granite peaks reflected in a calm alpine lake under a clear sky with a crescent moon. This is Rae Lakes at sunset.

This was taken just after sunrise in the High Sierra, with the first direct light hitting the eastern faces of the mountains. The air was perfectly still, allowing for clear reflections of the peaks in the lake below. I remember the crescent moon was still visible, high in the pale blue sky.
