Peaks of evolution valley

The magnificent peaks of Goddard Canyon are seen with Evolution Creek in this photo.

Hiking through Evolution Basin in mid-July, I found this view of Mount Mendel framed by granite slopes and a cascading creek. The sky was overcast, but the light was still bright enough to bring out the textures in the rock.
