Thousand Island Lake Sunrise

In the Ansel Adams wilderness, Banner Peak and Mt. Ritter tower over Thousand Islands Lake at sunrise.

July in the High Sierra, and the alpenglow on Banner Peak was intense. The lake surface was still enough to give a perfect reflection of the peak and the surrounding mountains.
