El Capitan Reflected, Winter Snow

El Capitan's golden face is reflected in the Merced River, framed by snow-covered banks and trees.

Yosemite Valley in early winter: the first snow had fallen and the Merced River was running high. The last light of the day was hitting El Capitan, and the reflection was almost as bright as the rock itself.
