St John's Cathedral Vertical

The small St. Johann Church with its red and white walls and dark dome stands in a green field, backed by a dense forest and the towering, cloud-shrouded peaks of the Dolomites.

August in the Dolomites, and the clouds were hanging low on the peaks behind St. Johann Church. The field in front of the church was golden with late-summer grass.
