Horsetail Fall's Firefall Phenomenon

Horsetail Fall in Yosemite National Park is illuminated by the setting sun, creating the "firefall" effect on the granite cliff.

February in Yosemite Valley, and I was lucky enough to witness the firefall effect on Horsetail Fall. The setting sun hit the waterfall at just the right angle, turning the water into a stream of molten gold against the dark granite.
