Mount Hood Alpenglow and Forest

Mount Hood's peak is illuminated by alpenglow above layers of blue ridges and a dark green forest.

August in Oregon, and the last light of sunset was painting the summit of Mount Hood a bright pink. The air was clear, and the ridges below faded into deeper and deeper shades of blue.
