Bridge of Sighs

The Bridge of Sighs, a white limestone enclosed bridge, spans a narrow canal in Venice, connecting two historic buildings, with gondolas visible on the water below.

August in Venice, and the Bridge of Sighs was mobbed with tourists. I waited for a break in the gondola traffic to get a clean shot of the bridge itself, framing it between the buildings on either side.
