Horsetail falls, firefall #1

Firefall at Horsetail Fall in Yosemite National Park is a breathtaking natural phenomenon that occurs each February when the setting sun aligns perfectly to illuminate the waterfall with a fiery glow. Under the right conditions—clear skies and ample water flow—the sunlight reflects off the cascading water, making it appear as though molten lava is flowing down El Capitan's granite face. This rare spectacle attracts photographers and nature enthusiasts from around the world, all hoping to capture the fleeting, magical display of nature's artistry.

February in Yosemite, and I made it to Horsetail Fall just in time to see the last light hit the water. The granite face of El Capitan was in shadow, but the waterfall was glowing orange.
