Dolomites Mountains and Lake Valley

A Dolomites valley seen from above, a turquoise lake and a small town below with the river winding through and steep forested slopes on both sides.

August in the Dolomites, and the air was clear enough to see for miles. The town nestled in the valley looked tiny from my vantage point, but the lake was a striking turquoise color.
