Sierra Nevada Lake and Peaks

A high-elevation lake reflects the surrounding granite peaks and cumulus clouds in the Sierra Nevada.

July in the High Sierra, and the alpine lakes were full from the winter snowpack. The granite peaks were clear of snow except for a few lingering patches in the shadows, and cumulus clouds were building up for the afternoon.
