Columbia River Gorge Autumn Clouds

A wide view of the Columbia River Gorge shows the river winding between forested hills under a cloudy sky.

October in the Columbia River Gorge, and the autumn colors were emerging on the trees along the river. The clouds were low and heavy, promising rain later in the day, but the light was still good for photography. I was able to capture the scene before the weather turned.
