Sierra Nevada Night Sky Silhouette

The Milky Way arcs across a deep blue night sky above silhouetted pine trees and a large boulder, with distant mountains faintly visible on the horizon.

I spent a summer night in the Sierra Nevada to capture the Milky Way above the dark silhouettes of trees and rock formations. The stars are bright against the deep blue sky, creating a stunning contrast with the dark foreground.
