Sierra Crest, High Sierra Lake

A small lake sits in a high-altitude meadow below a jagged Sierra crest under a partly cloudy sky.

July in the High Sierra, and the tundra was still green near the lake. The granite peaks in the distance had just enough snow to define the ridges and gullies.
