Bighorn Plateau Panorama

A small tarn sits in the dry, open ground of Bighorn Plateau, with a long line of snow-dusted peaks across the horizon and cumulus building overhead.

July in the High Sierra, and the tundra was still green near the lake. The granite peaks in the distance had just enough snow to define the ridges and gullies.
