Vidette Meadow

Storm cloud piles up over the sawtooth ridge above Vidette Meadow, with the forested canyon floor far below.

Hiking down toward Vidette Meadow in late July, I could see storm clouds building over the Sierra crest. The light was constantly shifting as the clouds moved, creating dramatic shadows on the mountains.
