Redwood Sorrel Carpet and Ferns

Redwood sorrel runs wall to wall under the big trunks, with a few sword ferns pushing up through the green.

The forest floor here is given over almost entirely to redwood sorrel, its clover-shaped leaves catching a soft, filtered light that makes it down through the canopy. Moss climbs the bark of the smaller trunk on the right, and the massive redwood columns behind hold the frame in shadow and warm brown tones.
