Valley view in winter

Valley view in winter with snow covering rocks over Merced River Valley view is a popular vista point in Yosemite National Park, along Northside drive. From this vantage point, you can see El Capitan, Bridalvel falls and a portion of Half dome, along with the South Rim. In winter, this scene takes a different perspective as the ground is covered in snow to make fascinating views.

I was in Yosemite Valley after the first snowfall of the season, and the Merced River was calm enough to reflect El Capitan and the surrounding peaks. The snow was clinging to the trees and rocks, creating a beautiful winter scene.
