Winter Oak Silhouette

A big bare oak in silhouette, the sun breaking out from behind its trunk and branches.

March in the Bay Area, and the deciduous trees are still bare, though the grass is already greening up. I liked the way the sun backlit the branches of this oak, and the stark contrast against the sky.
