Pine Forest Floor in Autumn

Pine trunks rise above a forest floor covered in green and brown ferns and fallen leaves.

October in the Sierra Nevada foothills, and the bracken ferns are still green, contrasting with the fallen leaves and the reddish bark of the ponderosa pines. The light was dappled, making it hard to get a clean shot.
