Ponderosa Pines in Yosemite National Park

Tall ponderosa and deciduous trees over a floor of green fern and brown undergrowth.

October in the Sierra Nevada foothills, and the bracken ferns are still green, contrasting with the fallen leaves and the reddish bark of the ponderosa pines. The light was dappled, making it hard to get a clean shot.
