Banner Peak and Mount Ritter

Banner Peak and Mount Ritter rise above a valley in the Ansel Adams Wilderness, with patches of snow clinging to the mountainsides.

August in the Ansel Adams Wilderness, and the granite peaks of Banner Peak and Mount Ritter dominate the landscape. The sky was clear, with just a few cirrus clouds, and the air was still and warm as I hiked into the valley.
