Ritter and Banner Closeup

Banner Peak and Mt. Ritter are two peaks over 13,000 in the Ansel Adams wilderness in the Sierra Nevada, along the John Muir Trail. In this photograph, a close up of those two peaks are seen.

August in the Ansel Adams Wilderness, and the granite peaks of Banner Peak and Mount Ritter dominate the landscape. The sky was clear, with just a few cirrus clouds, and the air was still and warm as I hiked into the valley.
