Dusy basin sunset

A calm mountain lake reflects the golden light of sunset on rugged granite peaks under a clear blue sky with scattered clouds. Taken at Dusy basin.

I found this high Sierra lake just as the last direct light of the day was hitting the peaks. The air was perfectly still, allowing for a clear reflection of the golden granite in the dark water. A few small patches of snow still clung to the shaded crevices, even in late summer.
