Bridalveil falls in winter
Bridalveil falls flows in winter and the banks of the Merced River are filled with snow. Yosemite National Park is beautiful in all seasons, but it really comes alive in winter. During good snow years, there is snow everywhere in the meadows. It makes it dangerous to drive around, but if you can deal with icy roads, a world of wonder awaits. Bridalveil falls is framed by snow over the meadows in this photo.
February in Yosemite Valley, and the Merced River was running high with snowmelt. The Cathedral Spires and Bridalveil Fall were visible between the pines, with a dusting of snow on the higher elevations.
