Looking south from Glen Pass over ridge after ridge of the Kings Canyon high country, with snow still lying in the north-facing gullies.

July in the High Sierra, and the granite peaks still hold some snow in the high cirques. The air was clear and the light was sharp, with the clouds casting moving shadows on the ridges.
