High Sierra Lake Under Storm Clouds

A clear alpine lake reflects a pine forest and granite peaks under a dark, stormy sky with a bright patch of light.

The storm was moving in fast over the High Sierra, and I could feel the temperature dropping quickly. I found this small lake just as the light broke through a gap in the clouds, illuminating the water and the distant granite peak for a few moments before the rain started.
