Dusy Basin Sunset

Rugged granite peaks, illuminated by golden light, reflect in the still surface of an alpine lake surrounded by sparse vegetation and boulders under a blue sky with pink clouds.

I spent a full day hiking into this high-altitude lake in the Sierra Nevada, timing my arrival for sunset. The light was perfect, hitting the peaks with a warm, golden glow just as the clouds above started to catch the last pink hues of the day.
