Purple Lake, Sierra Nevada Stream

A shallow stream flows through a grassy meadow toward Purple Lake in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Mid-July in the High Sierra, and the snowmelt was still running high. I spent the afternoon following this stream from the lake outlet down into the valley, looking for a good foreground with the peaks in the distance.
