Hiking towards the Palisades

A lone hiker working across a rocky trail in a high basin, a waterfall coming down to the right and cloud over the peaks beyond.

I was high in the Sierra Nevada, and the weather was turning. The clouds were already starting to obscure the peaks, and I knew I had to make good time to camp before the rain hit. The sound of the waterfall was a constant companion on the climb.
