Cathedral Peak Reflected in Water

Cathedral Peak rises behind a calm lake reflecting the surrounding trees and granite slopes in Yosemite National Park.

July in Yosemite, and the late-afternoon light was hitting Cathedral Peak just right, turning the granite a warm gold. The lake was still enough to give a near-perfect reflection of the peak and the surrounding forest. I waited for a few clouds to drift into the frame to add some interest to the sky.
