Mount Shasta with Golden Foliage

Mount Shasta, partially covered in snow and clouds, rises above golden deciduous trees and green conifers.

May in Northern California, and the snowfields on Mount Shasta still looked solid. The low-angle light of late afternoon was hitting the deciduous trees in the foreground, turning their leaves bright gold.
