Reflection of Upper Yosemite Fall in the Merced River

Upper Yosemite Fall comes down the granite into the valley, held in the still water of the flooded Merced with green trees either side.

Yosemite Valley in spring, with the Merced running high enough to flood the meadow and turn it into a mirror. The water was dead still, and the light was clean on the granite above.
