Cathedral range during sunset

Sun sets over the cathedral range, next to cathedral peak, along the John Muir Trail. Cathedral peak and cathedral lakes are popular vista points on the John Muir Trail. These are also accessible as a day hike from Tioga Road. I have camped at this lakeside thrice so far, and it is a spot I keep going back during my hikes along the JMT.

Kearsarge Lakes in the High Sierra, late summer. The granite cliffs behind the lake were catching the last light of the day, turning them a deep gold that reflected in the still water.
