A peak and a granite face lit gold, doubled in the dark still water of a high lake with pine and grass at its edge.

Kearsarge Lakes in the High Sierra, late summer. The granite cliffs behind the lake were catching the last light of the day, turning them a deep gold that reflected in the still water.
